NAJAF RANJBAR

He could gain confidence and respect of his friends in ideology, and the leadership of organization for sincerity and faithfulness shown from the first days of his activity.
Najaf Ranjbar was sent to the South to form the town committee of the organization in Parsabad according to the decision of the Poitical Council and leadership of SANLM. It took place in 1996 when the waves of our national movement increased. After serious activity for a few days there, he was arrested by the local operating group of Iran security service (Ettelaat) and was sent to Tehran immediately. He stayed in one of the most terrible political prisons Evin nearly two months and after undergoing severe tortures which were usual for medieval period he showed his love to Azerbaijan sacrificing his life. Najaf, at the cost of his life, showed to persian chauvinism that once brave sons of Azerbaijan will liberate their motherland even if they have to sacrifice their lives.
Underground prison Evin controlled by Ettelaat issituated under the mountains Saadatabad in the north of Tehran.
Najaf has not died. The young generation will continue his honourable deed till founding independent and democratic Azerbaijanian state.
Long live the first martyr of national liberation movement!
